Tycja, Tyci, Kas, Norge, Fairy. lives in Poland, age doesn't matter but if you need to know with each year I'm younger ~<3 |
Interested by a lot of stuff. This blog is completely random, simply reblogging or posting whatever catches my attention or likes. But there's some repeatable things that can be followed.
"Breastfeeding is wrong!!"
"Forcing a sexual appendage into a baby’s mouth is horrible!!"
"Ewww you can’t do that in public!!"
This is undoubtedly the saddest thing I’ve seen in this show in the longest time. Let me fill you guys in.
When the episode begins we see the gang turn up at the mansion where this Espurr is living. Only, it’s dilapidated, ruinous and seemingly abandoned. Obviously we know Espurr is living there, we’ve seen this sort of thing before. So when the gang turn up and mysterious things happen, this isn’t much of a surprise. But that isn’t what got me. This is when he starts telling his story up there.
You see, Espurr had a very elderly owner. She doted on the little thing. She loved him. But he was very young. He didn’t realise what she had going on. So when her condition worsened she didn’t want to upset the poor guy. So she sent him out to collect flowers so that he wouldn’t need to worry when she passed away. It worked, but when he came back, seeing that house empty? That got me. That brought a tear to my eye.
I have long said that in order for any comedy to truly succeed as a story, there has to be meat beneath the jokes. There has to be that moment when it is not funny any more.
This. This is that moment.
Mandy’s on record as having played this as if he were fighting against the cancer that killed his own father; he really bloody means it.
#this show took some turns down some suspect alleys along the way but #as manifestos go the ‘shared power’ theme running through this scene TAKES SOME F*CKING BEATNG #a giant ‘screw you’ to the Batman-esque Saviour complex running though most dude-focussed superhero franchises #’it’s me and only me who must save the helpless!’ vs ‘HERE TAKE THIS - AND USE IT TO SAVE YOURSELF AND OTHERS’ #you don’t hide power and hoard power and swoop in to impose your power on others to ‘save’ them #you share it #you teach it #’are you ready to be strong?’ #[i’m not crying YOU’RE crying] (via harrietvane)
#THIS WAS THE CROWNING ACHIEVEMENT OF ALL SEVEN SEASONS #THIS MOMENT RIGHT HERE #i fucking WAITED for my hogwarts letter #but when i saw this #i was like ‘fuck. I COULD BE A SLAYER’

During World War II, Josephine Baker served with the French Red Cross and was an active member of the French resistance movement. Using her career as a cover Baker became an intelligence agent, carrying secret messages written in invisible ink on her sheet music. She was awarded the Croix de Guerre, and received a Medal of the Resistance in 1946. In 1961 she received the highest French honor, the Legion d’Honneur awarded by then President Charles de Gaulle.
Our loss, U.S.A….
If you don’t admire the shit out of J. Baker, who was also pretty openly bisexual and adopted NINETEEN children in addition to the badassery mentioned above, I want you to go sit in the corner and think about your life choices.
um she was also a huge civil rights activist and her refusal to perform for segregated audiences at major clubs that were fallin over themselves to book her helped de-segregate vegas performance venues
aaaand she had a pet cheetah
She was also a flapper & vocalist, which led to her supposedly inspiring some of Frida Kahlo’s work, alongside having a love affair with her. Seriously, I could go on about the history of Baker for hours
(But I won’t bc this post sums it up pretty well)
Use when necessary.
